Peer coaching training involves learning in a group of 8-10 people. The first three sessions focus on coaching skills, such as listening, the GROW coaching model, increasing personal resilience and emotional self-regulation. Once you have learnt foundation coaching skills, you are taught the peer coaching model, which enables you to coach each other within a group setting. From the fourth session onwards, individuals have the chance to be coached by the group. Once the training is over, the group decides how often and for how long they meet, and how long individual coaching sessions last. This way you can continue to be coached by your peers for no ongoing cost - a very sustainable way to access coaching.

Please note, because of the confidential nature of coaching, this film was recorded with the full consent of training participants and was a 'fake' peer coaching session - in that though the issue was real, it was done for the purpose of filming and was much shorter that a real life group coaching session.
